Stability/Unison Test
Play F3 to E6, 1x each, soft, ~3 seconds long.
Play C6 to E6, 3x’s each very loud, ~3 seconds long.
Play C6 to E6, 1x each soft, ~3 seconds long.
For each note,
1) Play the note.
2) Play the set, M3/M10/M6/M17/m3.
3) Play the P19, P12, bottom octave (6:3), middle octave (4:2), top octave.
4) Play the 4:2 test for the top octave.
Example: C6 (Check note G#3):
- Play C6
- Play the P19 stretch interval set:
(M3/M10/M6/M17/m3)
G#3-C4, G#3-C5, G#3-F4, G#3-C6, F3-G#3. - Play the pure intervals:
P19, F3-C6
P12, F4-C6
Bottom octave, F3-F4
Middle octave, C4-C5
Top octave, C5-C6 - Play the 4:2 test for the top octave, C5-C6
G#4-C5, G#4-C6
If any of the intervals are not pure or clean, it means your unisons may not be clean. If your unisons are clean, your interval beat rates are not equal. Go fix them! (Pure Unison/Pure Interval Procedure)
