We only need the audio recording and some screenshots for this unit. No video.

If you are sending in an aural tuning to get some feedback, just do the steps in blue.

1. Play and record each note from C2 to B6. Three seconds each minimum. mf. (This will be the “before” unisons recording.)
2. Turn on PianoMeter and open a new file.
3. Place PianoMeter in landscape mode. (On its side.)
4. Play each note from A0 to C8 into PianoMeter. (This creates the stretch curve for this piano.)
5. Take a screenshot of PianoMeter. (This will be the “before” screenshot.)
6. Tune the entire piano with the ETD.
7. Play all the notes from C2 to B6 very loudly, fff.
8. Play and record each note from C2 to B6. Three seconds each minimum. mf. (This will be the “after” unisons recording.)
9. If there are any unisons you are having trouble tuning clean, make a separate recording of them. Tell us which note you are sending in, then play the left, middle, and right strings separately for three seconds each. This will be the false beat test. For any note with false beating strings, the finale unison does not have to score high, but it does have to score better than the false beat.
10. Take a screenshot of PianoMeter. (This will be the “after” screenshot.)
11. Send us the before and after screenshots and the before and after unison recordings.
